Rajasthan High Court Jaipur Bench Grants Bail in Dausa Murder Case on Grounds of Parity

Advocate Sharvan Singh Tanwar

Jaipur, April 30, 2026: In a notable development, the Hon’ble High Court of Judicature for Rajasthan, Jaipur Bench, has granted bail to the accused-petitioners in S.B. Criminal Miscellaneous Bail Application No. 3116/2026 and connected matters, arising out of FIR No. 633/2023 registered at Police Station Kotwali, District Dausa.

The matter was adjudicated by Hon’ble Mr. Justice Praveer Bhatnagar, who, after hearing the parties and perusing the material available on record, allowed the bail applications. The case involved serious allegations under various provisions of the IPC, namely Sections 147, 148, 149, 458, 323 and 302 IPC; however, the Court carefully examined the role attributed to the present petitioners.

Advocate Sharvan Singh Tanwar in Jaipur, appearing for the accused-petitioners before High Court Jaipur, advanced detailed submissions emphasizing that the allegations against the petitioners were general and omnibus in nature, without any specific overt act. It was further argued that several co-accused, standing on identical footing, had already been granted bail by coordinate benches as well as by the Hon’ble Supreme Court, thereby entitling the present petitioners to the benefit of parity.

The Court found substance in the submissions advanced by Advocate Sharvan Singh Tanwar and observed that the accused-petitioners were in custody for a considerable period and that the trial of the case is likely to take time. Without commenting on the merits of the case, the Court held that it would be just and proper to enlarge the petitioners on bail.

Accordingly, the Hon’ble Court directed that the accused-petitioners be released on bail upon furnishing a personal bond of Rs. 50,000/- along with two sureties of Rs. 25,000/- each, to the satisfaction of the learned trial Court.

This order once again highlights the settled principle of parity in bail jurisprudence and reflects the effective advocacy and legal strategy adopted by Advocate Sharvan Singh Tanwar in Jaipur securing relief for the petitioners.
